Casey the cat had a cool idea. She could cook cookies for the contest at Camp Creek.

"Come on, Kip!" called Casey to her kangaroo pal. "We can make the craziest cookies!"

Kip kicked his big feet. "Cookies? Count me in!"

Casey's kitchen was packed with cooking stuff. She had cans of cream, a carton of milk, and a big black kettle.

"Crack the eggs, Kip!" Casey said.

Kip tried to crack an egg but the shell broke in the cake mix.

"Oops! My mistake," said Kip with a quick smile.

"It's okay," Casey cackled. "We can pick out the shells."

They mixed and stirred. They added corn flakes and candy. They tossed in cucumbers and cocoa.

"These cookies will be kooky!" Casey said.

The clock ticked. The oven clicked. Soon a smell like burnt socks filled the kitchen.

"Quick! Check the cookies!" yelled Kip.

Casey peeked in the oven. Black smoke puffed back!

"Yikes!" Casey coughed. "Our cookies are cooking too fast!"

They took out the tray. The cookies looked like rocks!

"Can we fix them?" asked Kip.

Casey picked up a cookie. It was hard as a brick!

Just then, Uncle Buck the duck waddled in.

"What's that smell?" he asked. "It stinks like a skunk!"

Casey and Kip looked at each other and cracked up laughing.

"We made rock cookies!" Kip said.

Uncle Buck took a cookie and knocked it on the counter. It made a clack sound!

"I know!" said Casey. "We can make a cookie castle!"

So they stacked their rock-hard cookies into the craziest castle Camp Creek had ever seen!
